Her current work is informed by a deep consideration of material interaction and user perception. Alex spent over a decade in New York City designing award winning lighting schemes for architectural projects and performing arts institutions across the country. She is and adjunct faculty member at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City and has also been a guest lecturer and invited critic at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture and Planning and at the University of Virginia Department of Architecture. She holds an MFA in Architectural Lighting Design from Parsons and a BFA in Theater Design and Technology from the University of Miami. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
